Yasuharu Takanashi's Far East Groove project is heading back to Europe this September for an ambitious second tour, bringing their anime-meets-heavy-metal sound to more venues than before. Titled "The Battle for Glory," the tour spans nine countries from late September through mid-October 2026 and marks the project's UK debut.

The lineup remains consistent with their 2025 run: vocalist Juno Luke, guitarist Nozomu Wakai (SIGH), bassist Jesper Anastasiadis (Turisas), violinist Tuomas Rounakari (ex-Korpiklaani), and drummer Tino Jäntti (Wolfheart). This blend of heavy metal and orchestral elements reflects Takanashi's vision of bridging anime soundtracks with rock.

The tour kicks off September 30 in Helsinki at On The Rocks, followed by London's Dingwalls on October 2. From there, the band hits Warsaw, Berlin (two shows), Milan, Yverdon-les-Bains, Paris, and finishes with back-to-back Spanish dates in Barcelona and Madrid.

Takanashi is best known for composing iconic anime scores—his credits include Naruto, Fairy Tail, Log Horizon, and Boruto, among many others. The eight-time JASRAC International Award recipient launched Far East Groove in 2024 as a vehicle to explore the intersection of orchestral composition and metal instrumentation. Their 2025 European tour covered Finland, Italy, and Spain, establishing enough momentum to warrant this expanded return.
