FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S Announces New Single & 20th Anniversary Finale Concert
FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S is releasing new single "Natsuko" on August 5, featuring the opening theme for anime "Grand Blue" Season 3. The group will cap off their 20th anniversary with a special arena concert in December.

FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S revealed their new single "Natsuko" during the final show of their 20th anniversary tour on May 24. The track drops August 5 and serves as the opening theme for the upcoming third season of anime "Grand Blue," bringing tropical, summer-ready energy to the group's catalog.
The single includes two additional tracks: a new song and a collaboration with J-pop group Ikimono-gakari called "Kiseki Janai" (Not a Miracle). Physical editions come with live footage from the tour's final performance at Showa Women's University's Hitomi Memorial Hall, plus exclusive bonus content for fan club members.
To mark the end of their 20-year milestone, FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S announced "WE ARE FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S -20th finale-" on December 5 at Tokyo's TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO. The concert takes inspiration from the original FUNKY MONKEY BABYS era's irregular one-off shows, promising a career-spanning setlist that traces the group's entire history.
The group reformed in 2021 as a two-member outfit—Funky Katsu and Monkichi—after the original FUNKY MONKEY BABYS disbanded in 2013 following their peak popularity. The predecessor group achieved major success with hits like "Kokuhaku" and "Hero," appearing on NHK's Red and White Song Festival four consecutive years and winning multiple Japan Record Awards.
During their anniversary tour finale on May 24, the group performed 23 songs spanning their full legacy. That performance will later stream on U-NEXT for fans who missed it.
Ticket details for the December finale concert are available through the official FUNKY MONKEY BΛBY'S website.
