GEZAN is bringing their landmark Budokan performance to home video. The live DVD and Blu-ray "GEZAN live at 武道館" arrives July 1st, capturing the band's first solo show at Tokyo's iconic venue in March.

The concert, titled "独炎" (Dokuen), was a major moment for the Osaka-born alternative rock group. The setlist spans 21 tracks from across their catalog, including deep cuts like "DUB ZONE" and "Amrita" alongside fan favorites such as "BODY ODD" and "TRANSIT." The performance featured an impressive lineup of collaborators: animator Aoki Ichiko joined for "BEST DAY EVER," while movement artist Rikubouza added visual elements throughout.

The standout moment came during "BODY ODD," when 11 performers took the stage—including members from fellow Tokyo acts ZAZEN BOYS and Odotte Bakari no Kuni, as well as original GEZAN bassist Carlos Ozaki.

Beyond the concert footage, the release includes bonus VJ visuals created by Ukitashita Daisuke for the medley "Kuru" and track "beat." The booklet features personal essays from all four current band members reflecting on the Budokan experience, with package design by Minenoki Noritel.

GEZAN isn't slowing down. They're launching a release celebration tour running through August, with stops in Nagoya (June 27), Sendai (July 20), Okayama (July 30), Osaka (August 5), and Tokyo (August 27). The tour also marks the promotion of their latest album "I KNOW HOW NOW."

The Budokan release will get an early showing at the Nagoya CLUB QUATTRO show on June 27th ahead of the official July 1st release. Tickets for all tour dates are available through eplus.

Since their 2009 formation, GEZAN has built a reputation for ambitious, experimental performances and curating Japan's music scene through their label Jusan-gatsu and annual Zenkankaku Festival.
