Ginko BOYZ has postponed their Yokohama stop on their ongoing national tour after guitarist Yamamoto Mikimusu fell ill. The cancellation affects the June 1 show at F.A.D YOKOHAMA, which was set to be the smallest-capacity venue on the "Ginko BOYZ Tour 2026 Yume de Aenai Kara" itinerary.

The band announced the cancellation through their official website, citing the guitarist's health concerns as the reason for the decision. Specifics about Yamamoto's condition weren't disclosed. The band has committed to rescheduling the performance and will announce details on refunds and a new date at a later time.

Despite today's cancellation, merch sales will continue at F.A.D YOKOHAMA from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The tour, which kicked off in late May at Liquidroom, continues through July with stops in Hiroshima, Niigata, Fukuoka, Sendai, Nagoya, and Osaka. The band's performance at Liquidroom earlier this week drew praise from fans who appreciated their energy and setlist choices.

Ginko BOYZ, led by vocalist and guitarist Mineda Kazunobu, has had a storied history in Japan's indie rock scene since forming in 2003. After a lengthy hiatus from live performances that lasted from 2011 to 2016, the band has maintained an active touring schedule in recent years, including a 47-prefecture tour spanning 2023-2024. Their most recent album, "Nee Minna Daisuki Dayo," dropped in 2020, followed by continued touring and occasional new releases.
