Howzit, a freshly debuted Johnny's junior group, is getting the magazine treatment. The five-member group—Naohiro Oriyama, Takuya Nishimura, Kouki Kuroda, Mitsushige Hiyama, and Wataru Vasaiega—appears in anan magazine's July 1 issue with a special photo shoot directed by Taisuke Ohkura.

Ohkura, who serves as editor-in-chief of the magazine Zessei, collaborated on the shoot to give Howzit a polished debut. The group was photographed under three distinct themes: "BRAND NEW," "FANTASY," and "DARKNESS," each reflecting different styling and moods.

For the "BRAND NEW" concept, the members wore denim-on-denim outfits paired with feminine pearl accessories. Ohkura praised the balance, noting that pearls elevated the casual vibe into something refined. Solo shots showed members in various poses—some with jackets slung off the shoulder, others showing their physiques—before buddy pair photos were taken.

The "FANTASY" section shifted toward a softer aesthetic, with all five members in white suits draped in a long veil. Props like white roses, baby's breath, and sabers were brought in to emphasize a "princess and knights" concept. This segment of the shoot will appear in the August 19 issue of anan.

The final "DARKNESS" theme returned to all-black styling tailored to each member's personality. Oriyama wore a Napoleon jacket and beret, while others sported oversized jackets, leather outerwear, and coordinated black nail polish for added edge. The cool, bold poses created a dramatic aesthetic.

Ohkura actively participated throughout, handling costume fittings and offering feedback on individual styling choices. Behind-the-scenes moments showed the group playfully trying on each other's outfits after shooting wrapped.

Howzit learned their group name just before the shoot, and the magazine features solo interviews capturing their thoughts on the new identity, group goals, and messages to fans. The issue also includes a group roundtable discussing potential team rules and inside jokes.
