HY, the Okinawa-based rock band, is celebrating a quarter-century of music with a dual release this September. Their 17th album "MIND+" arrives on September 16, marking their first full-length project in over a year and a half since "TIME" dropped in January 2025.

The new album features 10 tracks, including three songs that dropped over three months of consecutive releases, plus recent singles like "Swing Swing Heart," a romantic ballad exploring emotional nuance, and "白球を繋げ" (Hakkyuu wo Tsunagete), which served as the official theme for the 97th Senbastu high school baseball tournament. The album rounds out with "ありのまま" (Ari no Mama), which carries an uplifting message, and four additional unreleased tracks.

Album packaging comes in two versions, with the limited edition including a premium ticket to experience a rehearsal for HY's upcoming one-man tour running through 2027.

Simultaneously arriving on September 16 is "HY 25th Anniversary BEST!! Special TIME TRIP," a Blu-ray capturing a one-night-only anniversary concert held February 23 at Tokyo Garden Theater. The live recording showcases the band's catalog, including collaborations with Daishi Omashi (Sukima Switch) and singer Aiyoung. A 12-page photo book of behind-the-scenes moments accompanies the visual release.

Both the album and live Blu-ray include serial numbers for a campaign raffle offering prizes like online meet-and-greets with band members and exclusive merchandise.

HY formed in 2000 and has maintained consistent presence in Japan's music landscape. Their 2003 indie album "Street Story" sold over a million copies, and they've performed at the prestigious NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen twice. Their hit "366日" recently got new attention through a 2025 film adaptation and 2024 drama series, with the new duet version alongside Omashi released earlier this year. The band settled into Okinawa as a home base in 2013, establishing their independent label ASSE!! Records.
