I Don't Like Mondays. has written a brand new song called "Masquerade" as the theme for an unexpected collaboration between cosmetics brand KATE and Kamen Rider Ains.

The track serves as the tie-in song for "HENSHIN THE FIRST," a web short film that brings together KATE's edgy makeup aesthetic with the tokusatsu (special effects) world of Kamen Rider. The collaboration represents an interesting crossover between beauty culture and Japan's beloved superhero franchise.

"Masquerade" will be available on digital platforms starting March 3rd. For those unfamiliar with I Don't Like Mondays., the band has built a strong following in Japan's rock scene with their energetic sound and has previously worked on various anime and commercial tie-ins.

The timing aligns perfectly with the theatrical themes suggested by both the song title "Masquerade" and the transformation ("henshin") concept central to Kamen Rider. KATE has increasingly partnered with entertainment properties to reach younger demographics, while Kamen Rider continues expanding beyond traditional tokusatsu boundaries.

This collaboration highlights how Japanese brands are finding creative ways to blend pop culture elements, bringing together makeup artistry, superhero entertainment, and rock music in a single project.
