Nishikawa Takaaki, best known as the lead of T.M.Revolution, attended a press conference on June 16 for Hills Science Diet's new pet food line. The event marked his appointment as a "pet gut health officer" for the brand. Alongside his own dogs—Arujjon (Aru-chan) and Elfe (Eru-chan)—Nishikawa discussed the importance of digestive health for pets.

During a talk session with veterinarian Nao Nagao, Nishikawa shared his personal approach to gut health and asked whether pets benefit from similar practices. Nagao confirmed that pets do benefit from textured foods over liquid ones, as chewing strengthens oral health, which in turn supports digestive wellness.

Nishikawa also opened up about his pet care routine, explaining how he checks on his dogs' health through nightly rituals like brushing and bathroom breaks. He recalled his previous dog, a 17-year-old named "wi" that struggled with kidney issues. When the dog eventually stopped eating, Hills' i/d canned food helped restore her appetite. Though he initially tried to maintain emotional distance with his current dogs after that loss, he admitted the effort failed—both now sleep in his bedroom.

When his two dogs appeared on stage, Nishikawa visibly brightened, introducing them with affection. A reporter noted the shift in his demeanor, prompting an embarrassed laugh: "Sorry for being so smitten." In post-conference remarks, Nishikawa emphasized how meaningful the role was, stating he hoped to help pet owners make informed decisions about their animals' health.

Separately, actor Kimura Takuya is releasing a cover of Yamazaki Masayoshi's "Celery" on June 17. The track will feature Yamazaki himself contributing harmonica and rap, marking an interesting collaboration between the two entertainment figures.
