Japan's music scene is delivering plenty of reasons to tune in this month. Multiple artists are gearing up for performances and media appearances that showcase the diversity of the current Japanese music landscape.

Rexi, the solo project of keyboardist and history enthusiast Ikeda Takashi, has announced plans for an acoustic tour running from October through December 2026. The tour kicks off October 30 at Blue Live Hiroshima and wraps up December 16 at Showa Women's University. Between now and then, Rexi is already in motion with a collaboration tour featuring Hiromi Uehara (known as "Osharekishi") that launched today across major Japanese cities including Sapporo, Sendai, Kobe, Nagoya, and Fukuoka through mid-June.

Meanwhile, SEKAI NO OWARI and Chanmina are making their mark on television. Both artists appeared on Nippon Television's music program "Yoru no Oto -TOKYO MIDNIGHT MUSIC-" which aired late last night, continuing to cement their presence in Japan's multimedia entertainment sphere.

On the drama front, the upcoming Nippon Television series "Watashi no Sousai Nikki" premiering June 5 will feature "dust-chute" by Hakane as its opening theme. The track marks another instance of artists crafting original work specifically for visual media.

Additionally, a two-man live event is scheduled for August 25 at Red Eye alpha in Akabane, Tokyo, bringing together Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai and Ensoku for the "2man live series REACTION" event.

These announcements reflect the ongoing vitality of Japan's music industry, with established and emerging artists balancing touring schedules, television appearances, and original compositions.
