Two Japanese punk rock bands with very different trajectories are coming together for a collaborative project. Ryuketsu Blizzard, a group with nearly two decades of history, and Jinzui Randan, an up-and-coming all-female rock band, are releasing a split album titled "Itekomashi Bakuretsu Dooro: Kusaichi Shitou Hen" on September 2, 2026.

Ryuketsu Blizzard has built their legacy as a punk staple, currently performing as a four-piece with vocalist Yuda, guitarist Milly Bison, bassist Susan Bo-Eale, and drummer Sexy Dynamite Pussy Garo VIII. Jinzui Randan is a relative newcomer, having formed in January 2025 but already gaining momentum through social media, particularly Instagram. The band features vocalist and guitarist Venice Sparrow Metaphor, guitarist Suzuki Nesiology, bassist Shima Tsukue, and drummer Gochiru Wakaba—all in their twenties.

The split album contains six tracks total, with each band contributing three songs. What makes this collaboration particularly interesting is the inclusion of guest appearances from members across both groups, creating an outlaw-style vibe that blends their distinct sounds. The tracklist includes Ryuketsu Blizzard's "Resurrection," "China Sapphire," and "The Future Is In Old Men's Hands," alongside Jinzui Randan's "Ferris Wheel From the Front," "Don't Mess Around Yamada," and "Early Icons Are Evil."

Following the album's release, the two bands will embark on a tour hitting Tokyo, Osaka, and Nagoya. The Tokyo show takes place September 5 at Shimokitazawa Shelter, with Osaka's Live House Pangea hosting October 17 and Nagoya's Huck Finn taking the final date on October 18. This collaboration represents an intriguing meeting of punk rock generations—established veterans and fresh talent joining creative forces through a format that's becoming increasingly popular in the Japanese rock scene.
