KARA has postponed their upcoming Japan fanmeeting, marking a setback for the group's first fan event in the country in roughly three years.

The postponement affects all four shows of "2026 KARA JAPAN FANMEETING: Hello, KAMILIA!" originally scheduled for July 4 and 5 at TOYOTA ARENA TOKYO in Tokyo. Each day had been planned with two sessions (afternoon and evening).

Event organizer HUB JAPAN announced the decision through their official X account, stating the postponement was made "due to unavoidable circumstances." KARA's official site provided more detail, explaining that while the group "explored various possibilities and did our best to hold the concerts, coordinating with all relevant parties," they ultimately decided postponement was necessary "to provide a more stable environment and a higher-quality performance."

No new dates have been announced yet. The organizers plan to reveal rescheduled performance dates and ticket refund details at a later time.

This fanmeeting was particularly significant as KARA's first Japanese fan event since roughly 2023. The five-member group, who debuted in South Korea in 2007, became one of the era's defining girl groups with hits like "Mister," "Wanna," and "Honey." They made history as the first Korean female idol group to perform in Japan during their 2010 showcase at Akasaka BLITZ, followed by their Japanese debut that August with the "Mister" Japanese version, which debuted at number four on the Oricon charts.

KARA has remained active in recent years, continuing to perform and maintain their fanbase across Asia. The group's fanbase, known as KAMILIA (a reference to the group's name meaning "sweet melody" combined with the Greek word for "joy"), has remained dedicated despite the group's evolution over the years.

Fans of KARA will need to wait for the organizers' official announcement regarding the new event date and ticketing procedures.
