Singer-songwriter Kayoko Yoshizawa released "Otouto" (Little Brother) on February 18, a heartfelt track dedicated to her real-life younger brother. The Saitama Prefecture native will celebrate the digital release with a special event in her hometown of Kawaguchi.
Meanwhile, jazz enthusiasts have something special to look forward to. An analog collection titled "Tokyo Suite Tsutsumi Kyohei Presents for TOMA" drops March 5, featuring previously unreleased compositions by the legendary Kyohei Tsutsumi. The tracks were originally written for the composer's private jazz band activities before his passing in 2020 at age 80. Tsutsumi, who penned countless J-Pop classics throughout his career, left behind these intimate jazz pieces that offer a different perspective on his musical genius.
In other news, indie pop favorite Koresawa announced her new single "Saigo no Bentou" (The Last Bento) for March 18. The song serves as the theme for the "#Last Bento Return Ghana" project, connecting food memories with music in typical Koresawa fashion.
