King Gnu's "GO GHOST" is now the opening theme for a new Ghost in the Shell anime from Science SARU studio. The group premiered the full music video on their official YouTube channel on August 4, 2026, timed with the release of the fifth episode on Prime Video and Kinopoisk.

The anime adapts "Ghost Fund", a chapter from Masamune Shirow's original manga. Director Moko-chan, who worked as an assistant director on the first season of Dandadan, leads the project. Enjo Toh, known for his work on Godzilla Singular Point, wrote the script, while character design comes from Shuhei Handa, who contributed to Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. The score is composed by Taisei Iwasaki, Ryo Konishi, and Yuki Kanesaka.

The series is scheduled for ten episodes total, with the new episode marking the halfway point of the season.
