KIRINJI is giving fans a visual companion to its latest album by releasing short films for all nine tracks from TOWN BEAT. Starting May 25, new videos will drop every Monday at 6 p.m. JST across X, Instagram, and YouTube, with the release order randomized.

The opening installment features "デートの練習" (Dating Practice), setting the tone for what's shaping up to be an ambitious multimedia roll-out. Each film will include frontman 堀込高樹, who helms KIRINJI as a solo project following the band's 2013 restructuring.

Director 大野要介 takes the helm for the visual series, bringing experience from recent KIRINJI live productions and the complete short-film set from the previous album Steppin' Out. He also directed the "ほのめかし feat. SE SO NEON" music video. The videos are designed to deepen listeners' connection to the album's world, pairing sonic storytelling with visual narrative.

Beyond the video series, KIRINJI has a packed schedule ahead. A stripped-down "弾き語り" (solo acoustic) tour kicks off May 29 in Kanazawa, bringing intimate renditions of the material to fans across the country. That's just the appetizer—on August 28, KIRINJI will perform its first full orchestral concert at Tokyo's Suntory Hall, titled "billboard classics KIRINJI PREMIUM SYMPHONIC CONCERT 2026," reimagining the catalog with a large ensemble.

For context: KIRINJI began as a duo in 1996, signed to a major label in 1998, and evolved significantly when founding member 堀込泰行 departed in 2013. The current iteration, centered entirely on 堀込高樹, launched formally as a solo project in 2021 with the album crepuscular. TOWN BEAT continues this chapter, arriving as the project's latest full-length statement.
