Kis-My-Ft2 is rolling out a new single called "King King" on June 20, marking the next chapter of their 15th anniversary celebration. The track is fully in English and was supervised by member Nikaido Takashi, who brought a specific creative vision to the project.

According to Nikaido, the group discussed doing monthly releases as part of their anniversary plans, which sparked the idea to create a tour theme song. "King King" rose to the top from multiple demos in development. The member handled lyric supervision, working with the writing team to balance phonetic appeal and meaningful English lyrics.

The song's message centers on ambition and self-belief. It captures the feeling of pushing past your limits to reach the top, channeling pressure and outside scrutiny into fuel for success. Nikaido described it as "Kis-My-Ft2's anthem," blending orchestral and digital elements for a contrasting sonic experience.

In a cheeky comment, Nikaido asked fans to "forget about the Nika Game for now," hinting at other projects he's involved with. He emphasized the track's confident energy and encouraged listeners to enjoy the unique production.

Kis-My-Ft2 continues their evolution as performers and creators. The six-member group (following Kitayama Hiromitsu's departure in 2023) remains active across music, variety shows, and acting. They marked major milestones like their 2011 CD debut and first solo dome concert, an NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen appearance in 2019, and a 15-year career spanning international performances.

"King King" will be available on streaming platforms starting June 20.
