Kyoko is bringing fresh energy to an anime classic. The BARBEE BOYS 4PEACE vocalist will release a new rendition of "Tare ga Tame ni" ("For Whom") as a single on July 19, with her version serving as the theme song for the upcoming anime series Cyborg 009 Nemesis.

Originally written by manga legend Shotaro Ishinomori and performed by Satoru Narita for the 1979 Cyborg 009 TV anime, the song has remained an iconic part of the franchise for decades. Kyoko's take on the classic maintains the spirit of the original while offering a fresh interpretation suited for the new series.

The single includes four tracks: Kyoko's main vocal version, an anime version, an instrumental, and the original 1979 recording by Narita. This approach honors the song's history while celebrating Kyoko's contribution to the material.

Kyoko has maintained a diverse career since BARBEE BOYS disbanded in 1992. She's performed in film and theater, hosted radio programs including "Spice of Life" on JFN, and remained active through various reunions and special projects with BARBEE BOYS 4PEACE. The group reformed in 2003 and has performed intermittently ever since, including a major tour and several one-off live shows over the past two decades.

Cyborg 009 Nemesis represents another chapter in the long-running franchise's evolution. The anime will begin streaming on July 19, the same day Kyoko's single drops.
