Japanese synth-pop duo LAUSBUB has two major announcements. The band will release their new single "sign" on June 10, which serves as the theme song for Prime Video's upcoming drama "Kuroema" premiering June 12.

Director Imaizumi Rikiya personally requested the song from LAUSBUB, and the band crafted it to match the drama's delicate and mysterious atmosphere. "Kuroema" adapts manga creator Unno Tsunami's work and stars Sugisaki Hana and Tabu Mika in a rare dual-lead role. The track already appears in the drama's trailer, and will get its full broadcast premiere on their radio show "Far East Disco" (AIR-G' FM Hokkaido) on May 30.

Along with the single release, LAUSBUB announced their first nationwide tour in roughly a year. "LAUSBUB Concert Tour 2026" kicks off September 19 in Osaka at CONPASS, followed by stops in Fukuoka (September 21, Kieth Flack), Aichi (September 23, club(O)Utopos), Tokyo (September 26, WWW), and their home region of Hokkaido (October 2, cube garden). The Fukuoka show marks their first solo performance in that city.

Formed in March 2020 by Iwai Riko and Takahashi Mei from the same Sapporo high school music club, LAUSBUB exploded into the public eye through a viral Twitter post in early 2021. They've since built a solid track record, releasing their debut album "ROMP" last July and handling numerous high-profile placements, from corporate commercials to the theme for the 2024 Sapporo International Arts Festival.
