Lienel is turning their major debut into a fun adventure. The six-member dance and vocal group under EBiDAN announced in March they'd signed with Universal Music—but there's a catch. According to the story, staff left their contract in Singapore, so the members had to go retrieve it themselves.

The teaser for this mission just dropped on YouTube. The full video, titled "We Went to Singapore to Find Our Major Debut Contract," will be included on the limited edition Blu-ray of their major debut single "Melo Collection." The roughly 35-minute footage shows the members tackling various challenges while searching for the contract, giving fans a look at their teamwork and individual personalities along the way.

"Melo Collection" drops June 3 and includes three tracks: the title song plus new cuts "ADDICTED" and "Sweet Sweet Sweet LOVE." The title track is a pop song about one-sided romance—wanting to seem cool while feelings get messy. Hayato Yamamoto, who's worked with M!LK and AiScReam, handled the music and composition alongside lyricist Tomoki Tamatani.

Lienel—whose name comes from the French phrase for "eternal bond"—debuted in 2023 at a live event in Yokohama. The group includes members Shuto Haga, Shunta Kondo, Miro Takaoka, Riku Morita, Sose Takeda, and Masayuki Takakuwa. They've been consistently releasing music across different styles while building their live presence, including a spring tour that kicked off in late April.

Universal Music's major label backing represents a significant step for the group. The "Melo Collection" comes with multiple formats: a limited edition version with the Singapore mission Blu-ray, a standard edition, and six member-specific solo editions. The release day also includes a special live performance at the International Forum in Tokyo.

It's a creative way to build buzz around their debut—mixing genuine excitement about joining a major label with entertaining content that lets fans get to know the members better.
