LUNA SEA is set to return to television for the first time since the passing of drummer Shnya, performing at Tele Tokyo Music Festival 2026 Summer on June 28. The legendary Japanese rock band will take the stage alongside other major artists in what marks a significant moment for the group.

For their appearance, LUNA SEA will perform a medley of their classic tracks "STORM" and "I for You," followed by a full-size television debut of their May release "FOREVER." The performance represents the band's continued commitment to their music and fanbase during this period of transition.

Tele Tokyo Music Festival 2026 Summer will air on Tele Tokyo network from 6:30 PM to 10:54 PM, hosted by Snow Man's Shintaro Fukasawa and actress Wakana Matsumoto. The nearly 4.5-hour live broadcast will feature multiple performance segments and surprise collaborations.

LUNA SEA joins a lineup that includes returning performer DOZAN11 (Michizo Miki), who will participate in a challenge segment for the second consecutive year. Other confirmed acts include IMP., Nanase Aikawa, and Aぇ!, with additional artists and segments to be announced.

The festival also includes a separate early summer edition airing the same day in the evening hours, featuring Roirom, Hinata Shokaze's fifth generation members in their music program debut, and other artists.

Both hosts expressed enthusiasm for the event. Fukasawa noted that this marks his first time hosting a major music program, calling it a long-held goal he's excited to achieve. Matsumoto emphasized her commitment to fully experiencing the music while delivering strong MC work throughout the broadcast.
