Electronic duo m-flo returned to the stage in spectacular fashion, hosting their first solo concert in nearly six years to cap off their 25th anniversary year. The February 19 show at Tokyo Garden Theater, titled "m-flo 25th ANNIVERSARY LIVE 'SUPERLIMINAL'," brought together an impressive lineup of 13 guest artists to celebrate the milestone.

Among the notable guests were hip-hop collective RIP SLYME and R&B singer Crystal Kay, both longtime collaborators who helped define Japan's urban music scene alongside m-flo. The concert served as both a reunion and a testament to the duo's lasting influence on Japanese electronic and hip-hop music.

Formed by producer Taku Takahashi and MC Verbal, m-flo pioneered the "neo-soul" sound in Japan and became known for their innovative collaborations with various vocalists after original singer Lisa left the group in 2002. Their "loves" series of collaborations helped launch and elevate numerous artists' careers throughout the 2000s.

The six-year gap since their last solo performance made this anniversary concert particularly significant for fans. The "SUPERLIMINAL" show represented not just a celebration of their quarter-century legacy, but also a reminder of m-flo's role in shaping modern Japanese urban music culture.
