Masayuki Suzuki is marking a major milestone with MARTINI RECORDS COLLECTION, a limited-edition analog box set arriving on September 22—his 70th birthday. The four-disc set celebrates both his solo career's 40th anniversary and his entry into his eighth decade.

The collection packages three albums from Suzuki's early solo years alongside fresh material. It includes reissues of his 1986 debut album mother of pearl (featuring "Garaasu Goshi ni Kieta Natsu"), the 1988 album Radio Days co-produced with Tatsuro Yamashita, and the 1989 effort Dear Tears—which marks its first-ever analog release. A fourth disc, MASTERPIECES, rounds out the set with a mix of classic and contemporary tracks, including new versions of fan favorites like "Koibito," "Mou Namida wa Iranai," and "Shibuya de Goji" featuring Nagisa Shibuya.

Suzuki's career spans decades. After co-founding the vocal group Shaneelz in 1975 (later known as Rats & Star), he went solo in 1986 and became known as the "King of Love Songs." His catalog includes countless standards, and he's earned multiple Japan Record Awards. More recently, he's gained younger audiences through theme songs for the anime series Kaguya-sama: Love Is War and collaborations with contemporary artists.

Fan club members get an added bonus: an acrylic stand featuring Suzuki's signature martini glass design.

The timing aligns with Suzuki's ongoing national tour, "masayuki suzuki taste of martini tour 2026 Step123 season2 '70/40th Anniversary,'" which he's running alongside his sister Seimi. The tour has completely sold out across all venues, underscoring his enduring appeal. The tour runs through September at locations nationwide, from Hokkaido to Kyushu.
