Metro Rock Festival 2026 Adds ano, Yabai T-Shirts Yasan, Yorushika & More
The third lineup announcement for Metropolitan Rock Festival 2026 brings major J-Pop acts including ano, Yabai T-Shirts Yasan, and Yorushika to Tokyo and Osaka venues.

Metropolitan Rock Festival 2026 has unveiled its third wave of performers, adding some of Japan's hottest acts to an already impressive roster.
The festival will take place across two weekends in May 2026: Tokyo dates on May 16-17 at Umi no Mori Park, and Osaka shows on May 30-31 at Umi to no Fureai Hiroba. This latest announcement brings electronic pop artist ano, rock quartet Yabai T-Shirts Yasan (often shortened to "YabaT"), and indie rock trio Yorushika to the lineup.
Other notable additions include indigo la End, the punk rock trio Uchikubi Gokumon Doukoukai (known for their energetic live shows), The Vanilla, Hamburg, and Frederic. This diverse mix represents the festival's commitment to showcasing different corners of Japan's music scene.
For international fans, this lineup offers a great cross-section of contemporary J-Pop and J-Rock. ano has been making waves with her genre-blending electronic pop, while Yabai T-Shirts Yasan continues to build their reputation as one of Japan's most exciting young rock bands. Yorushika, the project led by n-buna and suis, has garnered massive streaming numbers with their emotional indie rock.
Metropolitan Rock Festival has established itself as one of Japan's premier music events, consistently attracting both established stars and rising talent. With two more lineup announcements likely coming, this festival is shaping up to be a must-see event for J-Pop fans.
