Miho Nakayama Blu-ray Box Trailer Shows 80s-90s Concert Footage
A new 5-disc Blu-ray box set featuring legendary Japanese artist Miho Nakayama's concert performances from the 1980s and 90s drops June 17, with a trailer now available showcasing rare and previously unreleased footage.

Miho Nakayama fans have something to celebrate: a comprehensive new Blu-ray collection is coming June 17, and the official trailer just went live on YouTube.
The "Miho Nakayama Complete Blu-ray BOX~Forever" spans over 17 hours of footage, pulling from Nakayama's most iconic concert performances across two decades. The set starts with her 1st concert "VIRGIN FLIGHT '86" and runs through her 1998 "Live・O・Live" tour, capturing her at the height of her career as both a singer and actress.
What makes this release special is the inclusion of material that's never been commercially available before. The box includes unreleased concert footage from "Miho Nakayama Live '94 Pure White" and four music videos that haven't seen official release. The trailer itself gives viewers a taste of what's coming—opening with a scene from her original film "na・ma・i・ki" before moving into performance clips of hits like "Waku Waku Sasete," "Sekai Chuu no Dare Yori Kitto," and "Tooi Machi no Doko ka de."
Nakayama had an incredible run in Japanese pop culture. She debuted as a singer in 1985 with the single "'C'" and immediately made an impact, winning the Japan Record Award for Best New Artist that same year. She balanced both recording and acting throughout the 80s and 90s, and scored major commercial hits with "Sekai Chuu no Dare Yori Kitto" (released under the name 中山美穂&WANDS) and "Tada Nakikutakunaru no."
The Blu-ray box comes roughly a year and a half after Nakayama's passing in December 2024, making this a comprehensive look back at her live performance legacy during her most prolific era. With 175 songs total across the collection, it's the most complete video archive of her work yet.
For longtime fans and those curious about 80s and 90s Japanese pop history, this is a substantial release worth tracking down.
