Miki Imai marked four decades in the music industry by launching her 40th Anniversary Tour "Our Songs!! TOUR 2026 ~smile~" on May 16 at Saitama's Sun City Hall. The two-part concert spanned approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes, blending career classics with fresh material from her latest album.

The setlist opened with "Kanojo to TIP ON DUO," one of Imai's signature songs from her early career, before moving into tracks from smile, her first original album in roughly eight years. Throughout the performance, Imai balanced nostalgic favorites with new releases, creating a retrospective of her four-decade journey.

Emotionally, Imai expressed genuine gratitude to fans who've supported her throughout her career. "I'm so happy you're singing with me! I've always wanted to sing together with all of you. I'm truly blessed," she said at one point, visibly moved by the warmth of the audience response.

The tour continues through August 6, 2026, when it concludes at Tokyo International Forum Hall A. In between, Imai will perform across Japan—from Nagasaki and Fukuoka in the southwest to Hokkaido in the north—visiting 23 different cities. Major stops include Osaka's Festival Hall (back-to-back June 13-14 shows), Nagoya's Prefecture Art Theater (July 11-12), and Tokyo's Bunkamura Orchard Hall (August 2).

The tour represents more than just celebration; it's a continuation of Imai's commitment to connecting with audiences after 40 years in entertainment. With smile as the centerpiece and a setlist drawing from across her catalog, the tour offers longtime fans a chance to revisit her legacy while introducing newer material to those discovering her work.
