M!LK is getting their own variety special, and it looks delightfully chaotic. The five-member dance-vocal group will star in "M!LK's Explosive Mission" (M!LKの爆裂ミッション), premiering on TBS on July 7 at 10 p.m.

The concept is simple: M!LK members tackle over 1,300 missions submitted by fans nationwide. Celebrity judges—Wakako Shimasaki, Karen Takizawa, and Takashi Yoshimura from Heisei Nobushikobushi—will oversee each challenge from the studio.

The episode features three major missions. First, four members (Hayato Sano, Taichi Shiozaki, Jotaro Yamanaka, and Hitoto Yoshida) attempt to stack rotating sushi plates all the way to the ceiling. They'll eat oversized sushi from premium conveyor belt chains and stack the plates higher and higher—no small feat. Member Shunta Sono couldn't make the location shoot due to scheduling conflicts but will watch from the studio.

Next up: a karaoke quest. Shiozaki, Sono, and Yamanaka will search karaoke locations for someone scoring 90 points or higher, while Yoshida—known for his vocal skills—tries to hit 100 himself. He's tackling over 50 songs, including tracks by Kazuyoshi Saito and Mr.Children.

The third challenge is a trading game with a twist. Inspired by M!LK's group name (which means "something that can take any color"), members start with a milk bottle and trade their way up to acquiring a house within one month. Shiozaki and Yoshida begin their haggling in Ginza, while Sano visits a mystery actor along the way.

M!LK has been riding high lately. Their 2025 track "Like You Too Much! Destruction!" has racked up 3 billion streams on social media and over 100 million streams across platforms. The group debuted on NHK's prestigious Kohaku Uta Gassen year-end show in 2024 and celebrated their 10th anniversary with their first arena tour last year.

As a bonus, TBS will rebroadcast the group's previous variety series "Breaking Limits! Let's Do M!LK" Season 1 on streaming platforms including TVer, TBS FREE, and U-NEXT.
