M!LK Unit Drops 'Shin・Unmei' With Manga Artist Collaboration
M!LK members Sōta Yamanakaand Shunta Sono are releasing their unit track 'Shin・Unmei' on June 17. The single features cover art by manga creator An Nakahara, known for the beloved series 'Kirarin☆Revolution.'

M!LK's Sōta Yamanaka and Shunta Sono are stepping into the spotlight together with a new unit song arriving this month. 'Shin・Unmei' (True Destiny) drops on June 17 as a digital release, marking the second single from M!LK's ongoing "Mo-Retsu Mo-Shin! Release Project 2026."
The track explores the intensity of falling in love—capturing both the shock of that initial moment and the unstoppable pull of fate drawing two people together. Yamanaka and Sono's chemistry takes center stage, complemented by what the label describes as an unforgettable "neo-classical phrase" that anchors the song's memorable sound.
What sets this release apart is its striking cover art. Manga artist An Nakahara, best known for creating the beloved shoujo series Kirarin☆Revolution (serialized in Chio), drew custom illustrations of Yamanaka and Sono specifically for this single. The artwork channels classic 90s-2000s shoujo manga aesthetics, giving the unit release a nostalgic visual edge.
Nakahara shared her enthusiasm for the project, commenting: "I had the pleasure of drawing Shunta Sono and Sōta Yamanaka in Heisei-era shoujo manga style. 'Shin・Unmei' is such a great song!"
This collaboration reflects M!LK's broader strategy this year of pairing their members with different creative partners for fresh content. The "Mo-Retsu Mo-Shin" initiative running from April through summer has already delivered its first single, and 'Shin・Unmei' continues that momentum with an artist collaboration that feels particularly thoughtful—blending the nostalgic appeal of classic shoujo manga with contemporary J-pop.
For fans of M!LK, this is a chance to experience the duo's dynamic in a dedicated project. For manga enthusiasts, seeing Nakahara's work featured on a music release offers a rare crossover between two beloved entertainment mediums.
