M!LK's Yamanaka and Chotokkyu's Takamatsu Grace NYLON JAPAN Cover

Two rising stars from the Johnny's universe are teaming up for a fashion magazine feature. Jutaro Yamanaka from idol group M!LK and Aloha Takamatsu from Chotokkyu will appear on the cover of NYLON JAPAN's May 2024 special edition, available March 27.

The pairing brings together two distinct personalities from the Johnny's roster. Yamanaka, known for his striking red mesh hair, represents M!LK, the seven-member group that debuted in 2014 and has built a dedicated following through their energetic performances and variety show appearances. Meanwhile, Takamatsu brings his signature heterochromia (different colored eyes) and charismatic stage presence from Chotokkyu, the eight-member group that's been active since 2011.

NYLON JAPAN, the Japanese edition of the international fashion and culture magazine, regularly features J-Pop artists alongside fashion spreads and cultural content. The magazine's May issue special edition promises to highlight both performers' individual styles and chemistry.

For international fans, this collaboration represents an interesting cross-pollination between two groups that occupy different spaces within the Johnny's ecosystem. M!LK tends toward a more youthful, energetic image, while Chotokkyu has developed a reputation for their theatrical performances and diverse musical styles.

The cover shoot marks another step in both artists' individual careers as they continue building recognition beyond their group activities.
