Mrs. GREEN APPLE released their digital single "Brand New" on July 13 as the theme song for the Japanese version of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, ahead of the film's July 31 release in Japan and the U.S.

Motoki Omori, Hiroto Wakai, and Ryoka Fujisawa appeared in a special YouTube conversation with Tom Holland, Zendaya, and Jacob Batalon to mark the release. After introducing themselves in English, the band discussed the collaboration and their creative process.

One standout moment came when Omori explained that the song's lyrics drew inspiration from Spider-Man's signature web-shooting gesture. He pointed out that the pose, viewed from a different angle, mirrors the hand sign for "I love you"—a detail that caught the cast off guard. The conversation concluded with Mrs. GREEN APPLE announcing they will attend the film's world premiere in Los Angeles later that month, prompting Holland to respond, "I can't wait to see you there!"

Both parties exchanged the "I love you" hand sign to close out the chat.

Alongside the digital single, Mrs. GREEN APPLE released a new interview and a special video message from Tom Holland, both available online.
