Mrs. GREEN APPLE frontman Daiki Omori is contributing a track to Moe Kamishiraishi's new album "bouquet," dropping September 9. The song, titled "Metasequoia," marks a creative partnership between the two artists who've developed a close friendship over the years.

Kamishiraishi and Omori first connected through a music television special and have supported each other's work ever since. In 2024, Kamishiraishi performed in a dramatic reading of Omori's children's book "Memento Mori." More recently, she appeared at Mrs. GREEN APPLE's "CEREMONY" event and performed a cover of Omori's solo track of the same name, drawing significant attention.

The title "Metasequoia" refers to a deciduous conifer tree with the flower language of "peace." According to the announcement, the song carries a calm, dignified, and poignant quality that reflects this meaning.

"Bouquet" holds special significance for Kamishiraishi, who reaches her 10th anniversary as a singer in October. The album concept centers on gratitude—Kamishiraishi explained that receiving song contributions feels like artists are entrusting her with individual flowers, which she then carefully arranges into a complete bouquet as thanks. Beyond Omori's work, the album also features contributions from GLIM SPANKY and Fujiwara Sakura.

Omori's involvement continues the pair's collaborative momentum. Beyond their musical connection, the two have built a genuine creative relationship, with Kamishiraishi's participation in recent Mrs. GREEN APPLE events demonstrating their mutual respect within the industry.

The album release on September 9 will serve as a milestone project for Kamishiraishi, combining fresh collaborations with established artists and marking a decade of her singing career with a project deeply rooted in artist appreciation and gratitude.
