Nakamura Hak, a Tokyo-based singer-songwriter who debuted this spring, has unveiled a crossfade video for their debut single ただ美しい呪い (A Beautiful Curse), dropping June 10.

The preview video showcases three tracks from the single, all of which serve as ending themes for the anime adaptation of the popular manga Tongarashi Boushi no Atelier. The crossfade is paired with exclusive artwork created by manga author Shirahama Gou, who illustrates the anime's protagonist Coco in different emotional states for each song.

Nakamura Hak's approach to recording is notably stripped-back—all tracks feature only vocals and acoustic guitar with zero digital correction or editing, capturing raw breathing and the tension in every moment. This commitment to unpolished authenticity has already earned attention beyond anime circles. Their non-tie-up track "白は夢" (White is a Dream) became a power play staple across Japanese radio stations, while they've also landed the opening theme for the TV drama Runashii.

The single's three tracks each carry distinct visual interpretations. "ただ美しい呪い" presents Coco in a white void, releasing something while gazing ahead. "夜に浮かぶ" (Floating in the Night) renders her as transparent, while "光り" (Light) shows her on the edge of despair, reaching toward hope.

This release follows Nakamura Hak's debut EP 白は夢, which arrived May 20. Both are being released on CD only. Notably, anyone purchasing the EP gained free entry to the artist's subsequent tour dates—a creative move that blurs the line between physical releases and live experiences.

With high-profile anime placements, growing radio support, and a deliberate rejection of modern production polish, Nakamura Hak is positioning themselves as an alternative voice in Japanese music. The single drops June 10.
