NF Zessho Returns with 'Ultima' EP, Focuses on Pure Rap Vision
Fukuoka-based rapper and beatmaker NF Zessho released his new EP 'Ultima' on May 20, featuring entirely self-produced tracks that showcase his work without guest features or outside production.

NF Zessho, a rapper and beatmaker from Fukuoka, dropped his latest EP 'Ultima' on May 20, marking his first full project since 2021's 'Phytoplankton.' The release arrived in both digital and physical formats.
The seven-track EP represents a deliberate creative choice. NF Zessho handled production duties on every song except "Cicada3301," which was produced by Yoshinuma from his circle Oll Korrect. By keeping guest features completely off the project, the EP serves as a straightforward snapshot of where NF Zessho stands as a rapper right now.
The tracklist includes "Diamond Run," "Community Pride," "Cicada3301," "Giant Killing Slangun," "Grease," "Ultima," and "Sailboat Freestyle," which also appeared as a one-take freestyle video. The self-titled closing track kicks off the project's core message.
NF Zessho has built a solid catalog over the years, including full albums like 'Natural Freaks,' 'Beyond the MoonShine,' and 'CURE,' plus collaborative work with beatmaker Aru-2 on 'AKIRA.' His earlier EPs 'Bad Vibes Only' and 'Phytoplankton' established him in the underground hip-hop scene.
Physical collectors can get their hands on an analog edition, slated for August 5 release. P-VINE's official shop is currently taking pre-orders for the vinyl.
For fans wanting to dig deeper, NF Zessho recently shared "Sailboat Freestyle" as a standalone preview, giving listeners a taste of what 'Ultima' brings to the table. The project underscores his commitment to maintaining creative control and letting his rap skills drive the conversation, without relying on star power or trendy production to carry the weight.
