NHK will air a documentary special on tuki. tomorrow (June 27) at 11 PM, following the masked singer through her debut year, first major concerts, and Asian tour. Narration comes from fellow high school senior Hinasama.

NHK is giving fans an intimate look at tuki.'s remarkable first year in the spotlight with a new documentary special airing tomorrow night. "Venue101 Presents tuki. -17 Years Old, My First Days-" will premiere on NHK General at 11 PM, offering behind-the-scenes coverage of the masked artist's rapid rise through 2024 and 2025.
The special tracks some of tuki.'s biggest milestones to date. After her 2023 single "Bansan-ka" dominated charts and earned her a debut appearance on NHK's prestigious Red and White Song Festival, the documentary follows her first major concert at Tokyo's Nippon Budokan, an Asian tour, and a surprise graduation concert. Among the highlights is footage of a special school performance tuki. had long wanted to do—she visited a high school in Kanagawa in March to perform "Human Life Anthem" for graduating seniors.
tuki. remains a high school third-year student, and she continues her practice of performing while keeping her face hidden. Despite—or perhaps because of—this mystery, her literary, warmly emotional lyrics and captivating voice have resonated deeply with listeners.
The documentary's narration comes from an unexpected collaborator: Hinasama (Hirona Nagahama), also a high school senior. Hinasama, known for her own work as a content creator, expressed excitement about the role in her first formal narration job. "I've been a fan of tuki. for a while, and so many of my friends love her too," she said. "When I found out tuki. is the same age as me, I was amazed all over again." Hinasama particularly highlighted the Asia tour segment, noting that watching tuki. overcome "a certain trouble" during the tour was inspiring.
The special will be available for streaming on NHK One for those who miss the live broadcast.
Air Date: NHK General, June 27 at 11 PM JST
