Yoshida Ayano Christie has announced her graduation from Nogizaka46, effective August 9, 2026. The 30-year-old member shared the news on her blog today, revealing that her final performance and graduation ceremony will happen during the group's "Midsummer National Tour 2026" concert at Marine Messe Fukuoka on August 9.

Yoshida joined Nogizaka46 in 2016 as part of the third generation of members. In her graduation announcement, she reflected on her journey with the group, admitting that she had previously considered leaving but ultimately decided to stay. "I've thought about graduating before, but I realized I still love Nogizaka46 as a group," she wrote. "I was afraid of being alone and worried about losing the people who had always been by my side."

However, she noted that after several years of contemplation, the timing now feels right. "I've slowly come to realize that I can graduate while still loving Nogizaka46, without any regrets," Yoshida explained. She committed to spending her remaining two-plus months with the group at full strength, expressing gratitude and determination to make no further changes to her decision.

Beyond her work with Nogizaka46, Yoshida has pursued acting opportunities, most notably starring in the 2022 stage production of "Fruits Basket."

The group, which debuted in 2012 as the "official rival" to AKB48, continues as one of Japan's most successful idol groups. The Midsummer National Tour will take place across multiple cities before concluding with Yoshida's graduation ceremony in Fukuoka. Fans can catch her final appearances throughout the tour run, with stops scheduled in Fukui, Yokohama, Hokkaido, Hiroshima, Osaka, Miyagi, and Tokyo before the final Fukuoka dates.
