Nogizaka46 member Moritaira Reiko is featured on the cover of Weekly Shonen Magazine's issue 30, released today, June 24. The photoshoot marks her first appearance in the popular publication.

Moritaira, who joined Nogizaka46 as a 6th generation member last year, is gaining momentum within the group. She made her selection debut for the upcoming single "Zehi ni Oyobazu," scheduled to release July 22, solidifying her presence in the lineup. Her appearance in the magazine highlights her growing visibility as a newer member of the established idol group.

The issue features Moritaira in a bright, refreshing gravure spread designed to chase away the gloominess of Japan's rainy season. Alongside the photo feature, the magazine includes a special promotional campaign with signed Cheki photos and QUO card giveaways for readers.

Nogizaka46, founded in 2011 as the "official rival group" to AKB48, has maintained a strong presence in Japan's idol industry for over a decade. The group, produced by Akimoto Yasushi (also known for AKB48), has achieved significant recognition, including back-to-back Japan Record Awards Grand Prize wins in 2017 and 2018 for their singles "Influencer" and "Synchronicity" respectively. Their most recent album, "My respect," released in January 2026, marks their fifth original album. The group is currently preparing for a four-day memorial concert series in February at Tokyo's Ariake Arena.

Moritaira's magazine debut comes as newer generation members continue to establish themselves within Nogizaka46's roster, adding fresh energy to the group's lineup during an active promotional period.
