Nornis, the vocal unit from Nijisanji, is concluding its activities as of today, June 8, 2026. The group announced the decision through official channels, citing members' desire to concentrate on solo endeavors.

The unit was originally formed in 2022 with three members: VTubers Inui Toko, Machita Chima, and Asahi Minami Akane. After Akane's departure, the group continued as a duo with Toko and Chima from 2023 onward.

Despite ending as a formal unit, Nornis' digital presence will remain accessible. The official website, YouTube channel, and social media accounts will stay online, preserving the group's catalog and fan interactions. Both Toko and Chima are staying with Nijisanji and will pursue individual streaming and creative projects going forward.

During its run, Nornis built a solid fanbase through music releases and memorable performances. The group notably performed in Nijisanji's first-ever orchestra concert in March 2025, offering what they called an "elegant and luxurious" experience for fans. They also contributed to Netflix's "Good Night World" anime with theme music and released original songs tied to manga and other media properties.

The disbandment follows a pattern common in VTuber circles, where collaborative projects sometimes conclude to allow members more freedom in their solo careers.
