Number_i has claimed the top spot on the Billboard Japan Hot 100 chart dated July 22 with their digital single "BUGS LIFE," released July 13. The track marks the group's sixth No. 1 hit and their eighth week at the summit across multiple chart runs.

The single's chart performance was strongest in downloads and radio airplay, where it ruled both categories. It landed at No. 2 for video views and No. 11 for streaming, showing the breadth of its appeal across different listening platforms that feed into Billboard's ranking.

Mrs. GREEN APPLE follows at No. 2 with "Brand New," the Japanese theme song for the Spider-Man: Brand New Day film. The track commanded the streaming metric and reached No. 4 for downloads and No. 2 for radio, with 10 total charting songs this week including "lulu." at No. 18 and "Lilac" at No. 25.

Rounding out the top tier, NCT WISH's "YO-I-DON!" sits at No. 3, FRUITS ZIPPER's "Power of Love" at No. 4, and Kenshi Yonezu's "Yodaka"—the Kingdom 5: The Clash of Souls theme—debuting at No. 5. Yonezu also placed two other tracks in the top 20.

SUPER★DRAGON's "Call Me Asap" entered at No. 6 with 138,472 physical copies sold, while TAGRIGHT's "ZERO" debuted at No. 7. T.M.Revolution's "HOT LIMIT" saw a notable resurgence, climbing from No. 17 to No. 8 with massive week-over-week gains across video (up 144%), downloads (up 231%), and radio (up 244%). The track also made its karaoke chart debut and returned to the streaming top 100 for the first time in roughly a decade.

SixTONES rounded out the top 10 at No. 10 with "My Only," while Southern All Stars' "Ellie My Love"—featured in the Netflix series Human Vapor—jumped significantly from No. 60 to No. 27. Summer seasonal favorites also appeared, with YUI's "SUMMER SONG" at No. 46 and other warm-weather hits scattered throughout the rankings.
