ORANGE RANGE Returns to THE FIRST TAKE With FIFA World Cup 2026 Anthem
The Okinawan rock band ORANGE RANGE is back on THE FIRST TAKE to perform their new World Cup anthem "1000%," a DAZN commission for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, premiering June 17 at 10 PM JST.

ORANGE RANGE is making a second appearance on THE FIRST TAKE, this time to debut "1000%," their brand-new anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The performance premieres today (June 17) at 10 PM JST.
The five-piece Okinawan band previously appeared on the YouTube series to perform "チャンピオーネ" (Campione), their 2006 theme for that year's World Cup. For this World Cup cycle, DAZN tapped the band to write and record a fresh track specifically for their tournament coverage.
"1000%" carries deeper meaning than a sports rally cry. ORANGE RANGE explained their vision: "We wanted to express an unwavering will—a mindset of never giving up and believing in yourself without hesitation. The title isn't about winning odds, but about certainty in our resolve. That's what 1000% means to us."
The band has stayed active heading into 2026, marking their 25th anniversary year. After a 19-year gap, they returned to the NHK Kōhaku Uta Gassen (Japan's biggest New Year's Eve broadcast) in 2025, riding a revival wave from their track "イケナイ太陽" (Ikenai Taiyou). This year, they released "メンソーレ feat. ソイソース" in February and penned the theme song for the April film "Agito: Chō-Nōryoku Sensō."
ORENGE RANGE has a proven track record with J-pop audiences. Since their 2003 major debut with "キリキリマイ" (Kirikirima), they've racked up multiple hits including "Loco-Motion," "Hana," "Love Parade," and "Kizuna." Their second single "上海ハニー" (Shanghai Honey) peaked at number 5 on the Oricon weekly chart.
The THE FIRST TAKE appearance will be filmed in one take, staying true to the series' signature format where artists perform live without retakes or editing. It's the perfect stage to test-drive their newest World Cup anthem before the tournament kicks off.
