PassCode is heading back to Tokyo Idol Festival after a decade away. The band will perform on July 31 during DAY1 of Tokyo Idol Festival 2026, which runs July 31–August 2 in the Odaiba area. This marks their first TIF appearance since 2016.

The four-member group has built a reputation for genre-blending music that pulls from rock, metal, and metalcore while incorporating distinctive screamo vocals. Since their major debut in 2016 with the single "MISS UNLIMITED," PassCode has performed at major festivals including Summer Sonic, Join Alive, and Vans Warped Tour Japan. Their fanbase spans both serious rock enthusiasts and idol fans.

PassCode has kept busy over the past few years. In 2022, they performed at the Nippon Budokan, a milestone many Japanese artists aspire to reach. The group also held outdoor live shows at Hibiya Park and Osaka Castle Park that same year. They've released multiple albums and singles, with their sound continuing to evolve while maintaining their core identity as a rock-focused act.

The band underwent a lineup change in 2021 when member Yumena Imada departed, with Emiri Arima joining as her replacement. This new lineup performed their debut single as a four-piece, "Freely / Flavor of Blue," in November 2021.

Tickets for Tokyo Idol Festival 2026 are currently on pre-sale through Lawson Ticket and Ponta Pass, with the sale ending June 14 at 11:59 PM. Two ticket options are available: standard admission and a package that includes a festival t-shirt.

Tokyo Idol Festival has been running since 2010 and is considered one of the world's largest idol festivals, drawing performers across multiple subgenres of Japanese pop music and idol culture. PassCode's return after a decade represents their continued relevance in both the rock and idol communities.
