Porno Graffitti, Tokoro George, and Niru Kajitsu Join NHK Minna no Uta
Three diverse artists will contribute songs to NHK's beloved children's music program Minna no Uta for April-May broadcasts.

Three Artists Set for NHK's Minna no Uta Spring Lineup
NHK's long-running children's music program "Minna no Uta" has announced its April-May lineup, featuring an eclectic mix of artists: rock duo Porno Graffitti, veteran entertainer Tokoro George alongside voice actress Tanaka Aimi, and alternative artist Niru Kajitsu.
The diverse selection reflects the program's tradition of bringing together artists from different musical backgrounds. Porno Graffitti, the Hiroshima-based rock duo known for hits like "Saudade" and "Agehachou," will bring their melodic rock sound to the children's program. Meanwhile, the collaboration between comedian-musician Tokoro George and voice actress Tanaka Aimi (known for voicing Riko in "Love Live! Sunshine!!") promises an interesting cross-generational partnership.
Rounding out the lineup is Niru Kajitsu, whose experimental pop style has gained attention in recent years for its unique blend of electronic and organic sounds.
"Minna no Uta" has been a cornerstone of Japanese children's television since 1961, featuring original songs accompanied by distinctive animated videos. The program has launched countless memorable tunes that remain beloved across generations, from classic children's songs to contributions by major artists like SMAP, Fukuyama Masaharu, and more recently, artists like Kenshi Yonezu.
The spring broadcast period typically runs from April through May, giving each artist's song significant exposure on NHK's educational programming block. Details about the specific songs and their accompanying animations have not yet been announced.
