The release follows a provocative post on X where he criticized the genre's obsession with money and women, questioning why artists aren't embarrassed by the trend.

The album's title reflects Ginwaku's unwavering commitment to hip-hop as an art form rather than a lifestyle brand. Despite the pointed messaging, the cover art presents a paradoxical image—Ginwaku surrounded by cash and women—that the artist appears to be using ironically to challenge listeners' assumptions about authenticity in rap.

Ginwaku, born in 1978 and hailing from Tokyo's Setagaya ward, has been a fixture in Japanese hip-hop for two decades. His career includes 14 previous albums, sold-out performances at major venues like the Nippon Budokan and Hibiya Open-Air Classical Theatre, and a 20-year milestone in 2024. More recently, he's expanded into acting, with a starring role in the ABEMA drama "Keisatsucho Mayaku Torishimari-ka MOGURA" that premiered in January 2025 and now streams on Netflix.
