Riho Sayashi Releases Experimental EP 'OWN' With Lab-Inspired Concept
Riho Sayashi is dropping her new EP 'OWN' on September 2, a concept project themed around owning your mistakes and self-discovery. The release includes live footage and behind-the-scenes documentaries on the limited edition version.

Riho Sayashi is back with new music. Her latest EP, titled "OWN," arrives September 2 and marks another creative step for the artist who's been building momentum since returning to music full-time in 2020.
The project centers on the concept of "Own your mistakes"—embracing imperfection and the process of choosing yourself despite doubt, impulse, and internal conflict. Sayashi uses a laboratory as the visual and sonic metaphor, framing emotions and life experiences as something to be observed, tested, and carefully constructed. This theme threads through the sound design, imagery, and lyrics.
The EP will come in two formats. The standard edition contains six tracks. The limited edition package adds a Blu-ray with a trio of visual bonuses: footage from last year's "RIHO SAYASHI 5th Live Tour 2025 Too much! TOKYO," a documentary capturing this year's "RIHO SAYASHI 6th Live Tour 2026 -Too much! Session-," and behind-the-scenes material from the "OWN" recording sessions.
New artist photos accompanying the announcement show Sayashi in a cool, composed light—white suit, steady gaze—that aligns with the EP's deliberate, introspective energy.
This release continues Sayashi's prolific output. Since launching her self-run label Savo-r in 2021, she's released multiple EPs and her debut full-length album "Symbolized" last summer. She's also expanded into acting, recently headlining the TV drama "Oshinomesagaree" and contributing its theme song. The combination of music, touring, and screen work shows an artist comfortable juggling multiple creative outlets.
Fans can expect the same artistic intention Sayashi has brought to previous projects—concept-driven work that treats each release as a complete statement rather than filler between major milestones. "OWN" arrives September 2.
