Saucy Dog's first-ever solo dome concert is getting the big-screen treatment. The three-piece rock band's January 4 performance at Kyocera Dome Osaka—which sold out and drew their largest-ever audience—will screen in theaters nationwide from June 26-28 under the title "Saucy Dog DOME LIVE 'A NEW DAWN' 20260104 KYOCERA DOME OSAKA 'THE MOVIE.'"

The band, made up of vocalist/guitarist Shinya Ishihara, bassist Kazuki Akisawa, and drummer Yuika Seto, has built a steady trajectory since forming in 2013. They've gone from winning the Mash Fight Vol. 5 competition to headlining the Nippon Budokan in 2021 and launching their first arena tour in 2022. The Kyocera Dome show marks their biggest leap yet.

All three members will appear at a premiere event on opening day (June 26) at United Cinemas Toyosu in Tokyo at 6:30 p.m. The appearance will be broadcast live to theaters nationwide, and footage from that premiere will also air during screenings on June 27-28.

The theatrical release isn't just about reliving the concert—it's a full production. The version screening in theaters is an original edit created specifically for the format. Saucy Dog is also capitalizing on the event with exclusive merchandise, including three clear files featuring live photos from the dome show, pop-style acrylic keychains with band member illustrations, and select items from the original concert.
