Seiko Matsuda has released three live performances from her 45th anniversary concert tour on YouTube, giving fans a preview of the upcoming DVD and Blu-ray release hitting stores June 3.
The three songs—"Blue Lagoon," "Cherry Blossom 2021" (featuring guitar), and the anniversary-themed "Shapes of Happiness"—come from the tour's opening night at Saitama Super Arena. The full concert recording captures a setlist spanning Matsuda's legendary career, including classics like "Red Sweet Pea," "Summer Door," and acoustic performances of deep cuts like "Sweet Memories."
During the concert, Matsuda also showcased her instrumental talents, performing drums on "Alice in the World of Time" and guitar on several numbers. The performance represents the breadth of her artistry across five decades in the industry.
The home video releases come with special bonuses: the limited-edition Blu-ray includes a 52-page photo book, while the limited DVD edition contains a curated 10-track live CD.
Matsu's 45th anniversary tour held particular significance this year—it culminated with her first-ever concert in South Korea at Inspire Arena in Incheon back in February, marking an important moment for the veteran performer's international reach.
Matthews isn't slowing down. She kicks off a new arena tour, "Seiko's Fairyland," starting June 6, 2026, with dates scheduled across major Japanese cities including Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka through August.
For longtime fans and newcomers curious about Matsuda's enduring appeal, the YouTube clips offer an accessible entry point into her concert experience before investing in the full release.
