Seiko Matsuda Shares Concert Footage Ahead of 45th Anniversary Tour Release
Two live performances from Seiko Matsuda's 45th anniversary concert tour are now available on YouTube. The footage comes from her debut anniversary tour and previews an upcoming concert film releasing June 3.

Seiko Matsuda has released live performances of "Rock'n Rouge" and "夏の扉" (Summer Door) on YouTube, giving fans a preview of her 45th anniversary concert tour film.
The footage comes from the opening night of her 2025 "45th Anniversary Seiko Matsuda Concert Tour 2025 'Sing! Sing! Sing!'" at Saitama Super Arena. The full concert film arrives June 3 on both DVD and Blu-ray, capturing highlights from the tour that celebrated her milestone anniversary.
Matsuada, one of Japan's most iconic pop singers, has been a fixture in the music industry since her 1980 debut with "裸足の季季節" (Barefoot Season). Her early career was marked by an extraordinary streak—24 consecutive number-one singles on the Oricon chart. Beyond her music career, she's also worked as an actress and style trendsetter, with her "聖子ちゃんカット" (Seiko-chan cut) hairstyle becoming a nationwide phenomenon.
The concert releases come as Matsuda gears up for another busy touring season. Starting in June, she'll launch "Seiko Matsuda Concert Tour 2026 'Seiko's Fairyland'," running through August with stops across major venues including Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Osaka-jo Hall, Nippon Budokan, and Marine Messe Fukuoka.
For fans looking to experience the 45th anniversary tour without attending in person, the home video releases offer a chance to relive the celebration. The Blu-ray includes a photobook with the standard edition, while the DVD+CD limited edition adds bonus material. Both formats became available June 3.
Matsuada continues to maintain an active schedule across music, television, and touring, demonstrating the staying power that earned her the status of Japan's eternal idol over four decades into her career.
