SiM is making 2026 count. The Japanese metal band just released "BLiNDEYES feat. Yukina from HANABIE." on May 22, a hard-hitting collaboration that marks the start of an ambitious year ahead. Following this track, they'll drop their album HOOMAN AFTER ALL on September 2 before launching a world tour that spans Japan, North America, the UK, and Europe through early 2027.

Frontman MAH recently talked about the new single, explaining that it came from a place of genuine frustration. "At first, there was this whole situation that really pissed me off," he said. "Someone treated me with a serious lack of respect, and I ended up writing the song out of pure frustration and disappointment." The track came together fast—MAH wrote most of it in three hours.

What started as pure anger evolved into something more layered. Midway through writing, MAH realized adding a female voice could intensify the song's chaotic energy, so he reached out to Yukina. She jumped on it immediately. MAH actually wrote the second verse with her in mind, crafting lyrics so absurd they barely make sense—he even borrowed dialogue from a heated argument between Japanese pro wrestlers Riki Choshu and Shinya Hashimoto as lyrical material.

"The moment you hear the song, you can tell it's on a totally different level from the usual metal songs that just express anger in the most predictable way possible," MAH explained. The final product exceeded his expectations, with producer Jon Lundin and mixer Joseph McQueen helping transform the track into something truly special. Yukina's contribution brought an undeniable intensity that elevated the collaboration beyond typical metal fare.

The tour kicks off in Japan this September, moves to North America in October and November, then continues through the UK and Europe in early 2027. For fans, it's a sign that SiM is pushing boundaries and expanding their reach globally while maintaining the raw, unfiltered edge that defines their sound.
