Singer-songwriter 音羽-otoha- released the new track "PLAMO" today, marking a creative collaboration with Hitorie, the rock band she's cited as her biggest musical influence.

The song represents a major milestone for 音羽-otoha-: Hitorie serving as producer fulfills a long-held dream. She's been open about her admiration for the band, having previously invited them to perform at her self-organized two-man live event "Rock Hero Ni Hanataba Wo" (Bouquets for Rock Heroes). Now, she's entrusted them with producing what she describes as her most personally meaningful work.

In her comments, 音羽-otoha- explained that the demo for "PLAMO" had actually existed in fragments for two to three years before this collaboration materialized. She kept it close, recognizing traces of Hitorie's influence throughout the song. She wrote: "I'm merely one of many who inherited their blood. Still, I want to stand tall and sing and play this song—completely soaked in Hitorie's color—as if I were their representative."

Hitorie's producer, Shinoda, reflected on the process in characteristically understated fashion. He described receiving the demo and immediately understanding his task: transforming the "seed fire" into something massive. He noted that the demo already possessed considerable power, so the band's main contribution was amplifying the sound itself. "We may have overdone it," Shinoda added, "but sometimes overdoing it hits just right."

音羽-otoha- has been steadily building her profile since her major label debut with Ki/oon Music in February 2024. Beyond her solo work as a singer-songwriter, she's composed opening and ending themes for several anime series, including work on "Bocchi the Rock!" She released her debut full-length album "LAST PLANET" in December 2025 and held her first solo live in February 2026.

A physical package containing "PLAMO" is scheduled for release on August 26, with further details to follow. The artist is also running a nationwide album release tour across six cities starting in May.
