SixTONES' variety show 'Golden SixTONES' aired on Nippon Television on June 21, and this episode brought some unexpected chaos to the studio.

Actors Suzuki Honami and Kote Shinya joined the six-member group as guests, with Suzuki revealing she has a connection to the band through the family of member Kyomoto Taiga. The episode was hosted by Fujimori Shingo from comedy duo Oriental Radio.

The show featured their signature timing game "Giri Giri Keiji" (Barely Detective), where players predict the exact moment everyday situations reach their limit. Contestants split into two teams led by Suzuki and Kote, tackling challenges like "figure out when the toilet paper runs out." YouTube personality Yucchami also made an appearance during an experimental segment.

But the real highlight—or torture, depending on your perspective—was the new fitness-focused game "Macho Guy Hunt." In this exercise-based brain teaser, contestants do pushups and other workouts while Bon Jovi's "It's My Life" blares in the background, all while trying to spot hidden muscular figures in images. The concept seemed tailor-made for SixTONES, who are currently training ahead of their stadium tour. That didn't make it any easier though. Even the fitness-proud members were visibly wiped out by the end.

It's not the first time SixTONES have tackled physical challenges on their variety commitments. The group has built a reputation for balancing their music careers with entertaining appearances on Japanese television, maintaining their regular radio show "SixTONES' All Night Nippon Saturday Special" on Nippon Broadcasting while also handling acting and hosting duties.

SixTONES, who debuted in 2020 with "Imitation Rain" (produced by YOSHIKI of X JAPAN), have kept busy with their latest album "GOLD" released in January 2025 and recent single "Stargaze." Between studio sessions, variety appearances, and tour preparations, the group clearly takes their entertainment obligations seriously—even if it means getting absolutely exhausted on live television.
