SKRYU is ready for his next chapter. The rapper, who made major label waves with his February debut EP "絶" (Zest), is releasing his first full-length album "ザ・ライト" (The Light) on August 5th through Warner Music Japan.

The 1996-born Shimane native has built serious momentum since going major. Before his Warner deal, SKRYU had already racked up viral hits like "How Many Boogie" and "超Super Star," plus he held a solo arena show at Makuhari Messe last September—a rare feat for a hip-hop artist at that point.

The album comes in multiple editions. The standard initial run includes a Blu-ray with new music videos shot exclusively for this release. The "超SUPER Fan Club" limited edition adds a clear bag and card, with purchasers entered into a raffle for a special launch event on August 5th.

Here's the fan-friendly part: order the CD by June 30th through any retailer or online store and you'll get an exclusive "SKRYU original mask"—perfect for becoming a "super Super Star" yourself, if you're into that.

Beyond the mask, different retailers are stacking bonuses. Rakuten Books offers an acrylic keychain; Seven Net Shopping has a multi-shoulder bag; Amazon includes a mega jacket; and Warner Music Store provides a B2 poster. Local stores in Ehime (SKRYU's hometown) and Shimane are adding their own special perks too.

This album arrival comes off the back of a successful run—SKRYU just wrapped a Zepp tour across Japan in March, cementing himself as more than a viral moment. Between the structured label backing, strategic merchandise rollout, and genuine fan connection, SKRYU's moving past the early hype phase into sustainable artist territory.

"The Light" drops August 5th.
