Suiyoubi no Campanella to Perform at Chiba Lotte Marines Game
Japanese music unit Suiyoubi no Campanella will take the stage at the Chiba Lotte Marines' BLACK SUMMER WEEK event on August 8, performing on the field before an Orix Buffaloes matchup.

Suiyoubi no Campanella has been tapped to perform at the Chiba Lotte Marines' annual "BLACK SUMMER WEEK supported by Coolish" event this August. The group will take the field before the Marines face off against the Orix Buffaloes on August 8, bringing live music to one of Japan's summer baseball traditions.
The pre-game performance marks a notable crossover for the eclectic music unit, which has built a reputation for experimental pop that blends electronic production with theatrical vocals. The group expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity in a statement: "We're deeply honored to have this chance. We're looking forward to creating the best summer memories together while feeling the unique heat and unity of the ballpark. We hope to add color to this special moment at BLACK SUMMER WEEK through music."
Suiyoubi no Campanella has been active since 2012, initially gaining attention with their 2015 album "Zipangu," which featured the Yahoo Auctions CM song "Twiggee." The group made waves internationally with a 2016 SXSW performance in Austin, Texas. After original vocalist Komei departed in 2021, current member Shiiu stepped into the lead role and has since driven the group's creative output, including the viral TikTok hit "Edison" in 2022.
The BLACK SUMMER WEEK event runs from July 10 through August 8 at the Marines' home stadium. The August 8 performance represents another moment of cultural crossover as the music world continues finding new platforms within Japan's sports entertainment landscape.
