TenTwenty has composed a brand new opening theme for the upcoming season of Japanese TV drama 晩酌の流儀5 ~夏編~ (Banshaku no Yōgi 5: Summer Edition), which premieres July 3 on TV Tokyo. The opening track, titled "夜を飲み干したら" (If You Drink the Night), will be available on streaming services starting July 10.

The drama, starring Chiaki Kuriyama, follows a real estate company employee named Izawa Miyuki as she explores the art of enjoying the perfect drink at the end of each day. It's a food and lifestyle drama centered around the ritual and pleasure of evening alcohol consumption.

For TenTwenty's frontman Saito Kousuke (vocals, guitar), the project carried unexpected personal resonance. "I was moved by Miyuki's line: 'If you're interested in something, just try it. Your own personal best is sure to be in there somewhere,'" he explained in a statement. "It inspired me to create a really good song. I also felt a strange connection because Higashiyuki, the setting of the story, is a town next to where I spent my teenage years."

The new track captures the quiet contemplation of a day's end—that moment when you pause and savor your own happiness and comfort.

TenTwenty emerged from a 2016 creative partnership between Saito and bassist Yuu Sudo (formerly of U&DESIGN). The band initially operated under the name XIIX before rebranding to TenTwenty in March 2025. After releasing their debut album White White in 2020, they've maintained a steady output of music and live shows. Most recently, they launched their first EP, Border=Border, earlier this year and are currently touring across Japan with their "It's Magic!!" tour, which kicked off in May.

This theme song marks another step in TenTwenty's growing profile, bringing their music to audiences beyond the concert hall and into Japanese television.
